LV DREAM EXHIBITION
09/03/2023
1Late year 2022 Louis Vuitton inaugurated its new exhibition LV DREAM on December 15, until end
2023. It is Quai du Pont Neuf, in front of the illustrious building of La Samaritaine and the Hotel
Cheval Blanc that this exhibition was born. The LVMH group has taken over the two sides
surrounding the Pont Neuf on the Left Bank of the Seine River. The wish of Louis Vuitton is to mark
the spirits and announce a breakthrough for fashion, especially related to the death of their world-
famous artistic director Virgil Abloh. This turning point is illustrated in the choice of the new
collection of Louis Vuitton in collaboration with the Japanese controversial artist Yayoi Kusama.7
Between the paint stains on the flagship store at the Champs Elysees together with a huge inflatable
doll on the roof, Louis Vuitton has definitely created a big buzz all over the world. Indeed, they
decided to setup a 10-meter-high statue of Y. Kusama on the square between La Samaritaine and
the LV DREAM exhibition.

Entering inside the exhibition we discover a space that seems very confidential, then starting from
the first room we dive into the world of Louis Vuitton. 9 rooms, 9 atmospheres that make us feel all
the creativity & the talent of the Haute Couture House. Focused on the major collaborations and
editions of the last 160 years, this exhibition opens the doors to a microcosm world filled with
archives that have shaped the world of fashion. It’s a real journey between the meticulous selection
of lights and colors matching with historical and contemporary models we enter in connivance with
the history of the famous house. From the first trunks-bed to the latest collaboration with Supreme
New York and Takashi Murakami in Japan, through unusual objects such as the umbrella-bag, the
collection will delight amateurs and novices of the brand. The LV Dream exhibition is a kind of
immense trunk that opens to us with the most prized pieces of the House.5
Moreover, the experience does not stop there! The LV Dream is not only an exhibition but also a
coffee, a chocolate factory, and a gift store! Once we finish the visit of the ground floor, we go
upstairs to dive into a new lush universe with a tropical feeling. The Cheval Blanc’s pastry chef,
Maxime Frédéric, oversees this
Café
as well as this superb chocolate shop full of delicious
trompe-
l’oeil
presented in the mythical boxes of the House. After enjoying a coffee and degusting the chef’s
new custom-made pastries, we are invited to discover the gift store. Uncluttered, spacious and
warm, the atmosphere is relaxing and enchanting. The chosen tones, the asymmetrical assembly of
spaces, a selection of extraordinary accessories, a World signed Louis Vuitton that we invite you to
discover during a private guided tour just for you!6
