Les Invalides

Louis XIV founded  Les Invalides as a hospital for his veterans. Combining the looks of both a hospital and a monastery and following the plans of the Escorial of the Catholic Kings (of Spain), Napoleon’s statue overlooks the cour d’Honneur and according to his will we can find his tomb in the Church of the Dôme, although there still is speculation as to whether or not his body truly is there… The museum honours the memory of the soldiers who defended France throughout its history. Guided by your private Conférencier, doctor in art history and a recognized professional in Paris in the organization of conferences related French culture, you will discover with an exclusif tour this magical place and its secrets.

At the end of this visit, if you wish to pursue this exchange with your guide, you are welcome to invite him for a drink or a meal in a restaurant nearby that he would be delighted to recommend to you.
